They're not pets, Wade. They strip the living in seconds; men, women, children. So many are sick and dead in my home that the other isles thought that blockading us was better than ever letting it spread, the entire city has been left to rot from the inside out. I have had to crawl over bodies left in the street in piles, because they cannot bury them all.
... I just prefer you to know than be mild about it and bring that down on those here out of misunderstanding. My Empress's city rots, and it is this plague's fault.

Next time we need a body gone, I'll show you them then, if you like? They are very efficient for that work.
Less now most of them dust as soon as killed, but I do wonder if they have been found yet. Sometimes it was tricky trying to work out where to hide them, when they rotted, they would fall down eventually if rats did not find them first.
It's irritating, I prefer it when they're too foolish to ever look up.

But they do look quite horrified. Which amuses you no doubt.

There was one on Selena, but... no one to hide, only Jasper was foolish enough to challenge me to steal a crystal off it. He forgot what I was capable of, I think.

... It is alright, it has been covered in far worse. You were not throwing up insects for one thing.
no subject
I would have needed you to kill me if I was.
no subject
Sorry, it is one of the symptoms of the plague in my home. I forget others are not used to it.
no subject
that's so heartwarming...

It is why I ask no one to touch my rats, aside from their habit of stripping bodies in seconds, they carry the disease in their bite.
no subject
really?
gross. lemme see your rats.
no subject
No.

no subject
o why are you using them again?
you know, in case they GIVE US ALL THE FUCKING PLAGUE????
no subject
Because they leave nothing? Not hair, bones or clothes. Why worry about moving bodies when you can simply make it as if they never were?
from: attano.corvo@cdc.org
On Ajna I summoned them directly inside a Shai that was trying to bite my arm off.
from: attano.corvo@cdc.org
They ate it from the inside out, it was very effective. Aside from that and in a small controlled environment, I do not use them for that reason.
no subject
because that isn't fun? we need blood splatters. and messes. and bodies!
FROM: wilson.wade@cdc.org
blah blah blah, lame.

The screams of someone being ripped to pieces by a hundred screeching creatures isn't enough?
from: attano.corvo@cdc.org
There is no pleasing you, apparently.
no subject
i'm high-maintenance. i deserve nothing but the best!

Sometimes the magic is too exhausting, so I leave the bodies stacked on top of the chandeliers, is that better?
no subject
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
omg
FROM: wilson.wade@cdc.org
yes. that makes me so happy. yes.

did you do it. did you steal the crystal.
make him eat it.
no subject
Of course I did. Right in front of him. The look on his face was worth it.

I could not work out if he was embarrassed by it or being beaten so quickly.
no subject
humiliation and suffering build character!
FROM: wilson.wade@cdc.org
really though, you should have made him eat it.
no subject
I do that enough to him with his training, I think he is still upset with me telling him what keelhauling is.
from: attano.corvo@cdc.org
I needed him to enchant it, unfortunately.
