[ She keeps strange hours. She seemed to have a somewhat longer than 24-hour internal rhythm and so her sleeping patterns drifted consistently to where every few days she slept with all the recruits, and then a few days later was inverted from the norm. She is a few hours off this time, waking while the hallways are quiet. She decides to go for a run before the hallways become crowded. She preferred running the ship than to stationary work. Sometimes she joins up with a group of other women, and other days it is like this: just her, usually dodging skellies as they go about their routines but they are strangely missing this morning.
His sleeping form is the first she comes across today, and she trails off into a slow walk as she approaches to investigate. She doesn't consider very long before she comes to sit down beside him, as if sneaking up on an assassin unannounced was obviously the best choice in the world.... ]

[ It isn't, but he doesn't need to open his eyes to determine what is a threat and what wasn't. He sees what most cannot and more than he should ( sees the black, held his breath on a comprehension his mind shut out as quickly in a need to spare itself. tipped forward on the edge of the void )
He doesn't so much wake, too much movement and he's still too close on the edge of exhausted. His eyes just open and meet her gaze. Because it isn't wise to sneak up on sleeping assassins, even if they aren't expecting an attack enough that feel comfortable in dozing strange places.

Goin' in the Black Box made that clear. Uh, anyway, I'm real, real sorry for gettin' mad and takin' it out on you. Bet if I listened to you and took better care I wouldn't have gotten sloppy and burned myself.
[ He sighs and pauses to take in a breath, collecting himself again. When he speaks next he sounds slightly more sure... but as he goes on, that sureness quickly fades. ]
So, uh... I'm gunna try to keep you up to date on what's goin' on round here while you're gettin' better. Some of those cat monsters were killed in the hunt, but there's still more. Terra's worried about a few of her friends who're missin'. She's real worried about you, too. I'm tryin' to make sure she doesn't do what I did and miss too much sleep, but... Corvo she's so upset and those creatures are still loose. I don't know what to do.

When you wake up you should know the creatures that hurt you are gone. Theres no more clicking and no more monster cats. I think we are safe now.

Rain mounted one of their skulls in the observation deck. She even made a crown out of their antlers. Maybe you can put some runes on it later I know you like that.

Its another Earth holiday today. Queen Hello Kitty sure has a bunch of holidays. Its called Christmas and its about rainbows and sunshine I think.

The Skellies made every one a big dinner and there were a lot of sweets. It was good but I think they overdid it on the cinnamon it smells every where.

Theres a new Blue member in 14 with us. Her name is Mineva and shes real nice you will like her.

[It's not the first CDC party she hasn't felt like attending, but she can't say any of the others have been bad enough to drive her to medical looking for some kind of relief (or the right person to take a swing at). Luckily she doesn't find the the second one. What she does find is a mostly quiet ward, the quiet hum of tech. She moves through it without much purpose or destination, stopping only when she catches sight of a familiar face.
Mostly familiar. Even with the patch job, there's no denying that Corvo Attano looks like garbage. Looking down at him, standing in the absolute quiet among the stasis patients, she finds there's something strangely hunted in him that remains even when comatose. It's something in the the raw little scars, the wrinkles pressed so hard across his forehead that they're still there when there's no conscious thought to support them, the lines of of his (mangled) face that resonates low behind her ribs.
She doesn't care - not really - but she stands for a long time studying what he looks like while he isn't in the position to do the same to her in return. And then she leaves.]
